You're the Strategic People & Culture Partner for three of our verticals, ensuring you can translate their business strategy into a high-impact people roadmap. You are an integral, proactive and highly trusted member of these senior leadership teams to help them drive high performance and engagement.
In this role, you'll move beyond traditional HR and operate in a high-growth, agile environment where you'll excel at navigating organisational complexity and have the learning agility to solve problems using innovative solutions that are right for our business. You'll be someone who knows how to do the strategic planning and then drop down into the hands-on execution to ensure people initiatives are successful.
Preferably based in Auckland (otherwise Wellington), this position offers the chance to influence at the highest level, operate with a high degree of autonomy and play an integral part in our values-driven business.
Here is what you can expect from this role:
- Strategic Partnership: Build trusted relationships with Exec and their Senior Leadership Teams, providing expert coaching, advice and challenge to build a people and culture roadmap that works for their needs while staying connected to the wider Trade Me people and culture roadmap.
- Agile Problem Solving: Work in a high-functioning team environment, using your initiative to solve complex people problems and navigate with a practical, solution-oriented approach where initiatives get successfully implemented on the ground.
- Change Leadership: You will lead and contribute to key organisational development and change projects, ensuring our teams and business are set up for success.
- Flexible toolkit: Draw on a wide-range of HR tools (from ER, Rem, OD and L&D) with an open and curious mind to shift from these and try new ways of working as we move into a world where humans and AI work together.
What you will bring to our team:
- Commercial Acumen and Strategic Agility: The ability to understand business finances and strategy, translating them into a clear, aligned people roadmap that supports our priorities.
- Stakeholder Mastery: High-level communication and relationship skills to quickly build trust with Senior Leadership Teams and the confidence to provide constructive challenge and coaching.
- Proven HR Expertise: At least 7 years HR experience, with a strong background in ER, change management, talent management activities like workforce planning and performance development.
- Agility and Curiosity: A flexible mindset that allows you to manage organisational complexity and "messiness," using data to diagnose issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Collaborative Team player: A willingness to work in a high-functioning team, taking ownership of strategic projects while also mentoring and coaching junior members.
