Description
At BestStart, we are leaders in the early childhood sector. We make a difference every day, and we love what we do. We provide high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers across New Zealand.
We're on the hunt for an experienced Talent Specialist with drive, enthusiasm and strong team spirit to join our awesome Talent team.
About the role:
Our national talent model supports the attraction and recruitment of Relievers — the casual workforce that supports our centres across the country. Ideally this role is based in our Hamilton office, but open to it being located in Auckland for the right candidate.
As part of a collaborative Talent team that genuinely cares about each other's success, you'll play a key role in ensuring our centres have access to the talent they need. We support one another through challenges and celebrate the wins together.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end recruitment within the national portfolio. From managing requisitions and preparing job advertisements, to engaging with candidates, interviewing, partnering with our leaders, and successfully onboarding new Relievers to our team — you will own the recruitment journey from start to finish.
Our Relievers are critical to the success of our centres, so we're looking for someone who not only brings proven recruitment experience but also a genuine passion for making a difference.
About you:
As an experienced Talent Specialist, you will bring:
- Proven recruitment experience, ideally within high-volume recruitment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on great candidate and stakeholder experience
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence using recruitment systems and digital tools
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Creativity and a willingness to think outside the recruitment box
What we offer:
At BestStart, people come first. We're committed to supporting our people to grow and reach their full potential.
Some of our benefits include:
- Discounted childcare
- Subsidised health insurance
- The opportunity to work for a well-established organisation that is passionate about education and people
We are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging, where we feel connected, supported, and valued. We celebrate what makes each of us unique — because BestStart is your place, my place, and our place.
If this sounds like your next career opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
