Your new company: You will join a well established financial services organisation undertaking one of the most significant transformation programmes in its history. The focus is migrating core banking data to a modern, future ready platform that will shape how the organisation operates for decades to come.

Your new role: As Data Engineer within the Data and Reporting Workstream, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and reliability of data throughout the core replacement migration. You will rebuild legacy data pipelines, integrate the new core into the existing data estate, and implement robust reconciliation and validation processes to provide confidence in data quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test and deploy modern data solutions using DevOps, CI/CD and automated testing practices
  • Rebuild and integrate legacy data pipelines into the new core platform
  • Implement reconciliation, monitoring and validation controls across data flows
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, AI Leads and senior stakeholders across technology and business
  • Apply transformation logic to support structured data models and dimensional warehousing concepts
  • Contribute to data governance, security and compliance practices across the enterprise

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in data engineering or a similar data focused role
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T-SQL capability, with SSIS experience desirable
  • Experience with modern tooling such as Snowflake, DBT and Python preferred
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts
  • Experience working with APIs, XML and JSON data sources
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and influence stakeholders across technical and business teams
