Role Summary: As a Siebel Application Developer, you’ll be part of a collaborative team driving the continuous improvement and development of our Siebel platform and related applications. You’ll contribute to the full software development lifecycle — from design and implementation to ongoing maintenance and support. Your work will directly impact how we deliver innovative energy solutions across Auckland and beyond.
Main Duties:
- Design, build, and enhance Siebel-based applications using eScript and related technologies to support business and operational requirements.
- Analyse business processes and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring system solutions meet user needs and organisational objectives.
- Maintain, optimise, and troubleshoot the Siebel platform, resolving technical issues and ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain system integrations between Siebel and other enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP, OT/ADMS, field service systems).
- Support end users and functional teams, providing guidance, training, and issue resolution to ensure effective use of the system.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design artefacts, configuration changes, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to application deployment activities, including testing, quality assurance, and release processes.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks, recommending improvements that enhance system capability and team efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and external stakeholders, including vendors, business units, and support partners.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to team members to support capability development and best-practice adoption.

Non-Technical Skills and Experience:
- Experience in utilities would be an advantage.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Receptive and adaptable to feedback.
- Analytical and not afraid to ask questions.
Technical Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years developing primarily in eScript on Siebel (at least 50% of your work). Some of this experience should be within the last 12 months.
- Ideally experienced in Field Service Management platforms — understanding Service Requests and Field Service Providers (FSPs) would be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience integrating Siebel with other systems. Bonus points for integrations with ERP or ADMS platforms.
Workdays: Monday to Friday Work hours: 40 hours per week
