Description

- Auckland based contract within a finance focused organisation
Your new company: You will be joining a well established organisation operating in the finance sector, known for complex systems and a strong focus on reliability, security and scalability.
Your new role: This 6 month contract will see you working as a Software Engineer contributing to the development, support and enhancement of existing .NET applications. You will work closely with other engineers to maintain business critical systems and assist with ongoing improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using C# and the .NET Framework / .NET Core
- Support and enhance existing ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core applications
- Work with message brokers such as Kafka and MSMQ
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Octopus, TFS builds and GitHub Actions
- Write and optimise queries against MS SQL databases
- Collaborate with team members using Git and TFS for source control
- Assist with system support and troubleshooting as required
Requirements:
- Strong experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
- Experience with ASP.NET and ASP.NET Core
- Solid understanding of MS SQL and relational databases
- Experience working with Git based source control
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines such as Octopus and TFS
- Experience in the finance industry is highly desirable
- VB.Net, VB6 and COM+ experience beneficial but not required
