Network Security Consultant – Permanent | North Shore, Auckland
About the role We’re looking for an experienced Network Security Consultant to join a highly respected technology team on Auckland’s North Shore. You’ll play a key role in delivering network and security projects, providing expert advice, and supporting managed services for a wide range of enterprise clients. This position suits someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, client-facing role managing technical deliverables, resolving complex issues, and helping to shape secure, modern network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Security Design and implementation
- Act as a Tier-2 escalation point for managed services and problem resolution
- Support customers and internal teams with network and security expertise
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting across all engagements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners
- Contribute to continuous improvement and service offering development
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in network and/or security consulting or support
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, HP Networking, Checkpoint, Fortigate and VMware
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, self-manage, and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or vendor certifications (advantageous)
- A valid NZ Driver’s Licence
