I.T Support Technician

Acre Technologies are a managed service provider offering remote and on-site I.T support to businesses, not for profit, and medical clients across New Zealand. Based just outside Tauranga our team work together to provide exceptional levels of service.
In an ever-changing world, its important that you are adaptable and responsive to client and business needs. A keenness to learn new systems and ways of working is paramount.
Technical abilities should include

• Being Educated in IT Systems and Networks to at least Diploma level
• Industry experience of 2 + years with a Managed Service Provider is preferred but we are also open to taking on a freshly educated engineer who is fast to learn.
• Practical experience of networking
• Office 365, SharePoint, Teams knowledge
• Diagnosing software and hardware issues and providing fixes for both
• Some knowledge or experience with VOIP is preferable

Personal attributes should include

• An ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and work colleagues
• Communicating in a clear, kind, open an honest manner
• Personal organisation

A typical day may see you diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, build a custom pc, test restore a cloud backup, visit a client for a check up, quote a client for new equipment, set up new tenant in Office 365, transfer data from on site device to cloud, record all work done accurately in our CRM.
You will be asked to be ‘on call’ on a regular schedule with the other engineers to service any out of hours calls that come in. You must be a current New Zealand resident with a full driving licence (or a provisional licence that you can convert to a full licence quickly) to apply for this position. Salary will be based on your experience. A Bonus scheme is also in place.
