Description

We are looking for an experienced Service Desk Technician to join our Whangarei based Digital Service Desk team and help support our growing technology landscape.

This is a handson, customerfocused role where you'll provide IT support across the organisation, making sure our people have all the tools they need to succeed.

About the role: In this role, you will provide daytoday IT support across the Northpower environment, resolving incidents, managing service requests, and supporting users across a wide range of hardware and software platforms.

You'll work closely with other Digital teams, building strong relationships with internal users and external vendors while contributing to a positive and reliable support experience.

This role is onsite and includes rostered shift work and oncall responsibilities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing responsive IT support to internal customers
  • Troubleshooting and resolving incidents and service requests
  • Supporting enduser devices including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Delivering inperson and remote support across the organisation
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, asset records, and knowledge base content
  • Assisting with purchasing, inventory management, and coordination of ICT equipment
  • Supporting Digital initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities

About you:

  • 2+years' experience providing IT support in a Microsoft environment
  • Strong knowledge of enduser device support, including mobile devices (iOS & Android)
  • Comfortable building, configuring, and supporting workstations
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and core Office applications
  • ITIL experience or familiarity (certification is an advantage)
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
  • A customerfocused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A team player who adapts well to change
