IT Helpdesk Support Agent
Build Your IT Career We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Support Agent to join a growing team based in the mighty Waikato. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and assistance, ensuring client IT systems and devices run efficiently and effectively. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Location: Airport Road, Hamilton Start date: Immediate Pay rate: $25–$26 per hour (weekly pay) In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical support, helping users resolve issues and keeping systems running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues
- Guide users through troubleshooting in a clear and user-friendly way
- Accurately log support interactions and maintain detailed records
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior technical teams
- Contribute to improvements in IT support processes and workflows
What we’re looking for:
- 1–2 years’ experience in a helpdesk or service desk role
- Exposure to retail or fuel industry environments is advantageous
- Good knowledge of Windows OS, basic networking, and POS systems
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
- Willingness to be part of a rotating on-call roster
