Software QA Engineer

ConInnova is a New Zealand–based construction technology company delivering Quantity Surveying services and SaaS solutions to construction companies across New Zealand and Australia.

Our core product, CivCost, is a web-based construction cost management platform used by contractors, consultants, and developers. As our platform continues to grow, we are expanding our on-site engineering team.

About the role

1. We are looking for an experienced Software QA Engineer / Senior Software QA Engineer to join our team full-time and on-site.
2. You will be responsible for manual and automated testing of our CivCost SaaS platform, working closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases for live construction industry clients.

Key responsibilities

1. Plan, design, and execute test cases for a web-based SaaS application
2. Perform functional, regression, system integration, UAT, exploratory, and non-functional testing
3. Design, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks
4. Execute UI and API automation testing
5. Manage defects and test execution using QA tools
6. Perform cross-browser, compatibility, performance, and accessibility testing
7. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines
8. Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and release planning
9. Work closely with developers and product teams on-site

Skills and experience required

Minimum 6 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance Strong experience in manual and automation testing Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver Programming experience in C# and/or Java Experience with BDD frameworks (SpecFlow / Cucumber) Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, Swagger) Experience working with SQL databases Experience testing enterprise-level web applications Strong communication skills and ability to work in an on-site team environment
