The Company
Working for a leading Financial Services Organisation, with a focus on Trustee and Estate Administration services, you will be part of an award winning, supportive environment that offers flexible working. You will be situated in world class offices with autonomy to drive positive change. Flexible working arrangements available, with the option of 4 or 5 days per week. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The Role:
As a Senior Legal Solicitor/Counsel you will specialise in Trust and Estate law, encompassing:
- Will preparation and estate administration.
- Trust drafting and related document preparation (e.g., variations, minutes of distribution).
- Trust conveyancing (including e-dealing certificates)
- Enduring Powers of Attorney (including Public Participation Representation (PPR) work).
- Handling litigation associated with PPPR work.
- Support for Property Managers and Welfare Guardians.
- Work closely with external litigation support, including top-tier King's Counsel.
The Team:
- You wider team of 10 will also be able to assist with some of the workload in this position.
- Because of the footprint of this organisation, work will come to you so there will not be the need to bring in new business.
- Ideally this role will be based in Auckland or Christchurch.
Requirements:
To be a successful applicant for this role you will need:
- Essential: Proven experience in Trusts and Estate law. Ideal: Experience in conveyancing.
- Minimum 4-7 years of relevant legal experience.
- You must have an LLB and current Practicing Certificate.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach with interpersonal skills.
