ABC Law Limited is a bespoke law firm based in the South Waikato, with offices in Tokoroa and Taupō. We are a fast-paced, client-focused practice with a strong presence in both the Criminal and Family jurisdictions. We are currently seeking four motivated and committed individuals to join our team in the following roles: 1) Criminal Lawyer – Tokoroa Office; 2) Criminal Lawyer – Taupo Office; 3) Family Lawyer – Tokoroa Office; and, 4) Legal Assistant/PA – Taupo Office. Each role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment and requires dedication to learning, growth, and professional development.

Criminal & Family Lawyer Roles - Requirements: Applicants must be admitted to the roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand or be eligible for admission with a confirmed admission date. Ideally, candidates would have the following:

• Strong academic record;
• A strong and proven work ethic;
• The ability to analyze and advise on legal issues;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Engage well with people from all walks of life;
• Be a team player;
• Have the ability to work within a small team;
• Great attention to detail;
• Be organized, reliable and focused;
• Firm understanding and grasp of New Zealand Legislation; and,
• Have a sense of humor.

Legal Assistant / PA – Taupō Previous legal experience is advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will have:

• The ability to support Directors and staff effectively
• Fast and accurate typing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Critical thinking and practical problem-solving ability
• A willingness to learn and grow
• A sense of humour
