Cullimore Engineering is a family owned and operated family business with over 45 years of history. We have a vacancy for an experienced CNC programmer and operator. The successful applicant will join our small team of experienced tradesman in our modern workshop (circa 2018), located in the Ashburton Business park. 1. CNC programmer/operator The role focuses on programming and operating our range of CNC machines, which includes 2x machining centers (Okuma and Dah Lih), 3x lathes (Okuma, Microweily and Colchester) and a FEMCO borer. Programming is a combination of on and off-line with off-line programming conducted via GibbsCAM. The role also includes operating any of our manual lathes (five horizontal and one vertical), manual mills and manual borer where required, as well as potentially fitting and fabrication work, as well as client site work, depending on applicants' suitability. The qualifications we are looking for are:
- Trade certification or NZQA equivalent in fitting and turning. The required skills and attributes are:
- Experience in the programming and operation of CNC lathes and machining centers - experience with GibbsCAM is a plus
- Dedication to maintaining safe work policies
- Ability to work constructively within a small team
- Current NZ drivers’ licence
- Attention to detail and an ability to work consistently to accurate tolerances
