Description
We are a small locally owned business that produces high quality parts, typically focused on medium to high volume production. We run a clean efficient workshop and strongly encourage learning and growth.
The role includes the setting, programming, and CNC lathes and or machining centres. Batch quantities will vary from short run prototype work through to medium quantity production.
You will be a trade qualified machinist with 5+ years experience, be conversant in G-Code, conversational programming, and CAM programming. Owning your own relevant tools and measurement equipment is also a distinct advantage.
Hours of work will typically be 40 hrs Mon – Fri, with a 1pm Friday finish. Pay rate will be negotiable depending on experience.
Key Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- CAM Programming o G code programming
- Setup and running of CNC machines (Lathes and Mills). o Manual milling/turning o Jigs and fixtures
- Quality production of parts to production timeframes.
- Collaboration with all other staff.
- Teamwork and the ability to work and communicate with other members is essential.
- Ability to work unsupervised and problem solve.
- Health and safety awareness.
- Must be a NZ resident or have a current visa.
- Time management
