Solutions Engineering Ltd is a privately owned engineering company established in 1998. Based in Te Rapa, Hamilton, we specialise in machining and fabrication for the food processing and packaging industries.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality engineering solutions in a clean, modern workshop environment. Our work is varied and interesting, with stainless steel and engineering plastics making up around 90% of our production.

Due to continued growth and increasing workload, we are seeking an experienced Fitter Turner Machinist to join our skilled and supportive team.

About the Role

This hands-on position will involve a variety of machining and engineering tasks, including working on manual lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components to a high standard.

You will be working within a small team where quality workmanship, reliability, and attention to detail are highly valued.

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant will ideally have:

• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and perform relevant calculations
• Strong machining skills with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality workmanship
• Experience operating manual lathes and manual milling machines unsupervised
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in their work
• A solid and reliable work history
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team environment
• A Fitter Turner Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred (applicants with strong relevant industry experience will also be considered)

Experience in CNC machining would be beneficial.
