We are looking for a dedicated machine operator who is happy getting stuck in and wanting long term work. Ideally you have CNC experience or have worked with sheetmetal in the past and are confident in your ability to learn. Based in Mangere, our client is in need of staff for a range of shifts, particularly afternoons and night shift to help operate the CNC machinery and help with production of HVAC equipment.
The client has great staff retention and is keen to keep that going with people who want long term roles. Room for progression and upskilling as you work, with pay increases to reflect this as you attain new skillsets. This is a temporary position to be hired permanently after proving reliability. Or straight to permanent employment if you have all the skills we are after!
You Can Expect:
- $26-$29.50p/hr + 8% holiday pay – Experience Dependent.
- Variety of shifts available! Monday-Friday: o Day Shift: 6:45am-3:15pm. o Afternoon Shift: 3:15pm-11:15pm o Night Shift: 11:15pm-6:45am.
- Allowance and meal break covered for afternoon/night shift.
- Machine Operation - Hands on role!

Work Duties Include:
- Machine Operation: CNC, turret punch, laser cut, press brake.
- Cutting and bending pipes.
- Press and expand coil fin/coil hairpin
- CNC programming and setting.
- Performing regular TPM as required
- Forklift (counterbalance) operation to transfer goods around warehouse.
- Identifying drawings and cross-checking with programmes.
- Measuring dimensions, angles and rotations.
- Metal folding.
- Helping to process HVAC parts.
About you:
- Machine operation experience essential.
- CNC experience ideally or HVAC manufacturing.
- Forklift license – counterbalance.
- MUST have car to get to work.
- Attention to detail.
