Description
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate operation of CNC machinery to manufacture furniture and joinery components to specified quality, accuracy, and production standards. The role focuses on optimising machine efficiency, maintaining tooling and equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement across machining processes. Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- At least three years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Practical understanding of CNC tooling, calibration, and machine setup.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to meet production targets and work to deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using CNC operating systems and software.
Desirable:
- Experience operating 5-axis CNC routers, ideally within woodworking, furniture, or joinery manufacturing.
- Experience with maintenance procedures and troubleshooting CNC machinery. Personal Attributes

- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in attendance and performance.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Positive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, between Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
