Quarry Operator

Christchurch Ready-Mix Concrete Limited is a well-established family business which has been operating in Canterbury for over 60 years and is now part of the H.W. Richardson Group. The company is made up for four divisions which are concrete, aggregates, civil contracting and an internal workshop delivering mechanical and engineering services within the company.

The Role We are seeking an experienced Quarry Operator to be based at our Northend Quarry, Woodend. Your main tasks will involve general loader duties, including loading customers.

You will work closely with the Head Operator to produce the required products efficiently and within the required specifications. You will also perform daily pre-start checks on equipment, undertake screen changes and minor plant maintenance as required. You will be required to operate other heavy machinery from time to time. You may also be required to assist at other sites from time to time, depending on staff levels and demand.

You will have the following:

• a minimum of class 2 licence and W endorsement
• experience operating a loader
• a strong health and safety focus
• the ability to keep records and report
• a desire to make great product and achieve results.
