Fabricator / Welder Wanted – Rotorua Blueprint Reading | Workshop-Based Work | Ongoing Opportunity
Are you a skilled Fabricator/Welder who takes pride in precision, strong welds, and building things right the first time? If you can confidently read drawings and turn steel into quality finished products, we want to hear from you. We’re seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a busy and well-established operation in Rotorua. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys technical work, accuracy, and seeing a project through from drawing to completion.
The Role
- Fabrication and welding of steel components to specification
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and welding materials
- MIG/TIG welding (experience dependent)
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Working independently as well as part of a skilled team
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Fabricator/Welder
- Strong ability to read and understand drawings
- High attention to detail and workmanship
- Confident with workshop tools and machinery
- Reliable, safety-focused, and motivated
Skills & Requirements
- Welding tickets an advantage (not essential)
- Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision
- Own transport and reliable attendance
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
