Someone who’s skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating furniture that invites people to connect. You’ll be part of a close-knit team, working across patterning, cutting, sewing, and finishing—bringing designs to life with craftsmanship that’s both beautiful and built to last. This position involves:

  • Measuring and accurately cutting materials, working from templates and using manual and automated cutting instruments
  • Securing material, padding, and webbing to frames to be upholstered
  • Operating sewing machines, staple guns and other upholstery equipment to complete furniture upholstery
  • Examining drawings and work orders to determine specifications
  • Learning LEAN manufacturing disciplines
  • Increasing your knowledge and skills in a variety of areas including joinery, upholstery, furniture finishing, engineering and powder coating

Requirements:

  • Experience in furniture upholstery, pattern making or cutting and sewing
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Have a high standard of workmanship and dexterity
  • Happy to work in a fast paced environment

Hours of work - Minimum of 40 hours per week and a maximum 50 hours per week.

The successful applicant will have an eye for detail, the ability to think outside the square, a strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
