ANZCO Foods Limited Eltham are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Level 4 Qualified Meat Inspectors to join our team at our ANZCO Foods Eltham Site. While this is a Bovine only site, ANZCO welcome applications from Level 4 Ovine qualified Meat Inspectors as additional training would be provided to any suitable applicant.
This role is vital to our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality meat products to our customers. The ANZCO employed Company Meat Inspectors will be responsible for carrying out Postmortem Inspection as per the requirements laid out in the Operational Code – Red Meat Postmortem Examination, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and supporting quality assurance standards across our facilities and assisting when required in other roles.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Inspect meat products for compliance with the Operational Code – Red Meat Postmortem Examination.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene and quality standards.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
- Work collaboratively with regulatory bodies and quality control teams.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current level 4 qualifications in Adult Bovine and Bobby Calf meat inspection, as per the Operational Code – Red Meat Postmortem Examination.
- Strong knowledge of meat processing standards, food safety regulations, and quality control.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.
