Description

We are an importer of plastic fittings for containers and we assemble items for sale as finished goods. We are a small, friendly, and supportive women-led team based in Te Rapa, Hamilton. You can see our products and learn more about the company on our website http://www.3swans.co.nz.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position for 6 months, offering 15–20 hours per week. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm (we can be flexible with start/end times, provided you are on-site during the early afternoon).
  • Pay: Starts at $25.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly & Production: Using a drill press to assemble parts. This requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
  • Order Fulfilment: Reading packing slips, locating stock, packing items securely, and booking couriers.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Unpacking pallets, shelving stock, and keeping the workshop tidy.
  • Collections and deliveries using the company van.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for a reliable, "can-do" person who enjoys variety in their workday. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Focus & Accuracy: High attention to detail, especially during assembly and quality checking.
  • Practical Skills: Experience or confidence with power tools is an advantage, though we are happy to provide training for someone with the right aptitude and a safety-first mindset.
  • Physical Readiness: This is a physically active role. You will be standing for extended periods and will need to comfortably lift boxes up to 25kg and sometimes climb ladders (we prioritize health and safety and provide tools to assist where possible).
  • Communication: Competence in written and spoken English for processing orders and delivery notes.
  • Driving: A valid New Zealand Restricted or Full Driver’s Licence and confidence driving a van. Requirements: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
