Job Description About the Role

Are you a hands‑on, reliable team player who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a dedicated Bin Maintainer to join our busy yard team and support the day‑to‑day operation of our waste management facility.

This is a yard‑based, physically active role involving outdoor maintenance work and occasional vehicle transport. Your main responsibilities will include the assembly, dismantling, maintenance, and distribution of a wide range of WM bins.

You will work closely with the Supervisor/Manager to requisition repair parts and consumables, ensuring the cost‑effective use of materials within budget.

As your experience develops, you may also undertake general maintenance on WM fleet vehicles and compactors.

This is a fast‑paced role that requires initiative, strong time‑management skills, and the ability to respond quickly to breakdowns and spills, minimising downtime.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate paperwork, keeping the yard clean and organised, and upholding a professional image of the company at all times.

Qualifications About You

We are looking for a friendly, hardworking, and efficient team player who can confidently manage yard operations and keep things running smoothly.

Reliability is critical in this role.

What You Need to Bring

  • Forklift OSH licence
  • Class 2 driver licence
  • General mechanical ability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with the yard team, Management, Dispatch, and Drivers
  • A solid understanding of safety culture
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance

Beneficial Skills (training provided for the right person)

  • Welding
  • Gas cutting
  • Fabrication
  • Grinding
  • General handyman/maintenance skills for yard and building upkeep
