ANZCO Foods Kokiri have an opportunity for a Halal Slaughterman to join our team. Previous experience and an understanding of food handling is preferred. A Halal Certificate including achieved Halal Unit Standards 21623, 25926 and 25927 is required. A letter from an Approved Halal Organisation confirming you have been interviewed and deemed religiously suitable is required.
This role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, develop and achieve, as well as the ability to cope with a significant physical workload. Full training can be offered if you meet the other halal requirements but don’t have the experience.
This day shift position is based at ANZCO Foods Kokiri located on Arnold Valley Road, Arnold Valley. Applicants must be able to work Saturdays during busy periods. This is a full-time seasonal position, hours will fluctuate in line with workflows due to the seasonal nature of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Performing halal slaughter in compliance with the General Export Requirements for Halal Animal Material and Halal Animal Products.
- Completing duties as per company documented procedures.
