A rare and exciting opportunity has emerged to assume ownership of the Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental functions within a progressive and successful manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is ideal for someone seeking to take full ownership of these essential areas and play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation’s operational excellence.

About the Role

You will lead the execution and development of wider group policy, translating strategic frameworks into practical, on-the-ground initiatives that foster behavioural change and continue to support a culture of safety, quality, and sustainability.

A key part of your role will be to support other business team leads who administer health and safety behaviours across various teams, ensuring alignment, consistency, and shared accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety: Implement and maintain robust safety systems, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of wellbeing and compliance.
  • Quality: Oversee quality assurance frameworks, manage audits, and ensure products and processes meet internal and external standards.
  • Environmental: Champion environmental responsibility, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead sustainability initiatives across operations.
  • Translate group-level HSEQ policies into site-specific actions that drive engagement and behavioural change.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and team leads to continue supporting best practices and ownership of HSEQ responsibilities.

About You

  • Proven experience in leading HSEQ functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001), and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health & safety, quality management, environmental science, or related fields.
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and implementation.
  • Passion for driving cultural change and influencing behaviours through practical leadership.
