Warehouse 'Plus' Person

Towbar Express is a fast-growing manufacturer, wholesaler and fitter of quality towbars and automotive accessories. We supply businesses nationwide with our own operations in Christchurch (Head Office), Wellington and Auckland. Our Auckland base, in East Tamaki, is our North Island distribution center as well as a towbar design center to service fleet, OEM and custom design requirements for the Auckland market.

We are a tight knit team of great people who turn up, work hard, and expect the same from the person next to them. If you are looking for a short-term fill-in position or somewhere you can just turn up, eat your lunch and chat, then this is not the place for you.

We require an additional person to work in our warehouse operations and provide assistance for product assembly and fitting.

Key responsibilities:

• Inwards and outwards goods (internal and external) process ensuring accuracy & timeliness of stock being receipted and dispatched to customers
• Pick and pack products for dispatch
• Deliver and collect products to customers and suppliers (current license essential)
• Liaise with Christchurch office regarding warehouse functions
• Rolling stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
• Raise PO for external stock orders?
• Assist with final product assembly
• Assist with installation of towbars and vehicle accessories

Prerequisite skills and personal attributes for this role include:

• A self-starter who uses initiative and is organized
• Previous warehouse and or small parts dept experience required.
• Forklift and picker experience – Forklift license required
• Familiar with using computers with ability to learn new systems and processes
• Mature attitude, with a strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Excellent customer service skills both in person, via phone and email communication
• Enjoys working as part of a small tight knit team, with a friendly helpful attitude
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Adaptability to a changing work environment
• Ability to prioritize between multiple tasks and operate efficiently
