CARTERS Hornby in Christchurch has an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join their busy timber yard team. This physical role involves picking and packing orders, and operating a fork lift to load and unload building materials onto delivery trucks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and pride themselves on exceptional service and delivery to our customers in a timely, professional, and safe manner. With your high energy and can-do attitude, you can expect to:
- Load and unload building materials either with a forklift or manual handling
- Carry out customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Pick and assemble customer orders.
- Process sales documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers on and off site.
About you You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills and qualities:
- Valid FULL New Zealand Driver's Licence essential
- Forklift F Endorsed Licence with OSH Certificate diserable, not essential
- A team player with the right attitude.
- A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers.
- Basic computer skills
- Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry.
- Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
- Building industry knowledge is advantageous.
