Description
We are seeking a Timber Processing Coordinator to support our busy pallet manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on factory-based position.
This role is responsible for coordinating the flow of timber through our modern processing equipment for pallet production. Supporting the Operations Manager to ensure materials, people, and machinery are aligned to meet daily output, quality, and production targets.
You will be a key link between timber processing and pallet assembly helping to maximise yield, minimise waste, and keep production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
*Work directly with the Operations Manager to coordinate daily timber processing in line with pallet production activities
- Oversee set up and change over of timber processing equipment in line with the daily operational requirements
- Proficient at problem solving on equipment
- Ensure correct timber sizes, grades, and cuts are available for pallet assembly
- Work closely with contractors who provide repairs and maintenance on timber processing equipment
- Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety and quality standards
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, yield, and workflow
- Supervision of processing and production staff
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Mature, reliable and responsible approach to work
- Strong comprehension of timber feedstocks, finished sizes and specifications
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Experience in the set-up of wood working machinery is preferred
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced changing production environment
- Clear communicator with a hands-on approach
- Open to taking instruction and direction
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Background in basic production planning or manufacturing coordination
