Join our Water Services team on a 9-month contract and play a key role in developing high-quality, competitive proposals that support the delivery of critical water infrastructure projects across New Zealand. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer - Water to join our Energy & Utilities business on a 9-month fixed-term contract, reporting directly to the General Manager -Water NZ. This full-time role sits within our Water Services team and is central to shaping winning proposals from planning through to negotiation and handover.

You'll collaborate closely with technical, operational, commercial and engineering teams, developing compelling bids that align with strategy, meet governance requirements, and support the growth of our water portfolio across New Zealand. This role is essential to how we engage with clients, influence outcomes, and secure future work.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a driven and detail-focused Bid Writer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently partner with operational and technical teams.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Experience developing bids within the Water Utilities sector (Design & Construct and Construct Only experience highly regarded)
  • Strong writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Understanding of engineering principles or construction methodologies
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workload and work collaboratively
  • Proven attention to detail and commitment to quality
