Our client is an Auckland based civil contracting company which specialises in land development works. They are a well-established business that has completed a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
About the role:
- Stellar Recruitment is looking for a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator for this position based in the Auckland region
- Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week
- Your hours of work will fluctuate depending on projects, client demand and the season.
- $35 to $40 per hour depending on experience.
What you need to be successful in this role:
- You must have at least 3 years of relevant experience operating heavy machinery, including proven experience in finishing works
- You must be GPS experienced and capable
- You'll need to be familiar with using Leica software for this role
- You'll be willing to work long hours during peak work periods
- You must be able to work within the timeframe of the project and be a reliable member of the team.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Operate heavy excavator equipment across a range of projects
- Final trim and finishing works to a very high standard
- Maintain accuracy and quality using GPS systems
- Excavate to heights and levels
- Back fill trenches and bulk excavation works
- Site dig outs cut and fill
- Knowing and complying with all relevant Health and Safety requirements and regulations
