Methven Golf Course Green Keeping Position Methven Golf Club is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person preferably close to or holding level 3 or 4 qualifications for our 18-hole course situated just outside Methven township and only a short distance from the famous Mt Hutt Ski Field This is a full-time position that offers up-and-coming Greens Keepers experience at one of Mid-Canterbury’s most popular golfing venues for members and the many visitors we host annually. We are looking for a passionate individual who will drive excellence within our small team and help to deliver a high-quality course, with top-class playing surfaces through best practice maintenance activities. We are looking for the following skills and attributes a) Experience leading volunteers and able to fit into a small vibrant team. b) Comprehensive knowledge of turf management and agronomy including formal qualifications such as a recognised turf diploma/certificate, including relevant spraying expertise. c) Experience in planning, maintaining and consistently delivering a well-presented golf course to tournament standards. d) Knowledge and experience with assisting to develop and efficiently manage a budget including establishing and implementing asset management programmes. e) Knowledge of and experience in irrigation maintenance and installation. Plus, experience in managing a fleet of machinery and plant equipment. f) An outgoing and consultative attitude that will contribute to wider Club initiatives and projects.
