Environmental Health, Food Verifier & Alcohol Licensing Inspector

We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Health Professional to join our Regulatory team. This is your chance to work in one of New Zealand’s most stunning coastal regions while helping keep our community safe and thriving.

What you’ll do

• Verify food businesses under the Food Act 2014
• Enforce alcohol licensing requirements and local bylaws
• Conduct inspections, investigations, and compliance activities
• Educate and engage with the community on health and safety matters
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records for Council and MPI

About you

• Diploma in Environmental Health Science (or equivalent)
• MPI Food Act Officer accreditation (or willing to obtain)
• Food Safety Officer Qualification (or willing to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of NZ health, food, and alcohol legislation
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality results
• The right to live and work in New Zealand
