Packhouse Cleaner

Location: McLean Orchards, Lower Moutere (Motueka) Employment Type: Fixed-term
Start Date: Approx mid February, end date: early July Working hours: Monday till Friday 9am till 4pm and Saturday 9am till 3pm

McLean Orchards is looking for a reliable and motivated Packhouse Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, hygienic, and biosecure environment across our production facility, offices, and communal areas.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across production, offices, and communal areas
• Clean and sanitise equipment, workspaces, restrooms, and floors to meet the compliance and hygienic requirements
• Wash and manage staff uniforms
• Manage waste removal and follow safety and biosecurity procedures
• Monitor and order cleaning supplies, consumables, and PPE

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience (horticulture, food production, or industrial preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time effectively
• Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards
• Understanding of safety, health, and compliance standards (or willingness to learn)
• Driver’s license required
