Description
The Visiting Services Coordinator is based in Masterton but works from Masterton district down to South Wairarapa for 16 hours per week, during Monday to Friday (days TBC).
The Visiting Services Coordinator role works to support older folk overcome isolation through:
- meeting and assessing people ages 65 and over who are isolated
- recruiting and training volunteers to visit the clients
- matching appropriate visitors and clients, and monitoring the matches
- keeping records of training, meetings, visiting hours etc
- reporting to management as scheduled
- working alongside a great team who really care about making a difference to the lives of older people across our Wairarapa community.
- supporting the organisation with our annual expo
Please note that there is a possibility of extra hours on a casual basis of up to 10 hours per week for the selected person, assessing people for Total Mobility cards.
