Kinetic is Australasia’s leading mass transit operator, delivering safe, reliable and sustainable transport solutions across New Zealand and Australia. We’re entering an exciting phase of growth and investment, with a significant property development programme underway across our Auckland network.
We’re now looking for an experienced Property Project Manager to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract to help deliver this programme.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Property, you’ll take ownership of multiple property development projects across Auckland. These projects span the full lifecycle, from design and consenting through to construction and closeout often within tight timeframes.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard, while meeting all regulatory and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk frameworks
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, and onsite activities
- Oversee procurement processes, including raising purchase orders and contracts
- Monitor project delivery and ensure alignment with agreed scope, cost, and quality
- Provide regular reporting and progress updates to senior stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Ensure all works comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
About You
You’re a proactive and highly organised project manager with a strong background in property development. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience managing large-scale property or infrastructure projects
- Strong project planning and delivery skills
- Experience engaging and managing consultants and contractors
- Solid financial and budget management capability
- Confidence using project management tools and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety requirements in construction environments
