Description

You'll own a territory, build lasting relationships with water industry customers, and be the face of one of New Zealand's most trusted infrastructure brands. If you thrive on being out in the field, understanding your customers' challenges, and converting opportunities into results - we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Customer relationships - Build and maintain strong connections with key customers, influencers, asset owners, and specifiers across your territory. Prospect and target accounts for continued growth.
  • Territory management - Analyse territory potential, run a structured call cycle, and stay ahead of market conditions and competitor activity.
  • Sales activity - Implement a call plan that maximises revenue and effectiveness, with a strategic approach to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Pipeline management - Identify projects early, manage your CRM diligently, and pursue a coordinated approach to hit agreed strike rates.

What we're looking for

  • Proven sales record - A track record of hitting targets and a clear understanding of what drives your success.
  • Technical competence - Comfortable with engineering language and able to understand a broad range of water infrastructure products and solutions.
  • Commercial acumen - You understand value, not just price, and can create compelling long-term propositions for customers.
  • Willingness to travel - Comfortable with regular field travel, including overnight stays of approximately 1-5 days per month.
  • Team player - Collaborative, reliable, and respectful. You share knowledge openly and contribute actively to a supportive team culture.

How success is measured

  • Sales activity: Planned vs actual calls logged in CRM
  • Sales performance: Sales, GP$ and GP% to budget
  • Opportunities: Quotes followed up within one week, pipeline maintained in CRM
