Your Future Workplace Airborne Solutions has been providing drone sprayer services and products across New Zealand since 2020. They are one of the few companies in New Zealand both selling these aircraft but most importantly out there doing it. They are extremely experienced in the aerial spraying industry and know the challenges their operators face.

With roots strongly cemented in New Zealand's Ag sector, the owners of Airborne Solutions identified the XAG Drone as a true commercial machine, with the workflow of the product unbeatable. They now import the aircraft direct from China with the backup support of XAG Australia.

Your Role The Area Manager/Business Development Manager role is a newly created position with a focus on growing drone sales across Canterbury, with coverage extending into Southland and South Island regions as required. The business currently has bases in both Wanaka in the south and Hawke's Bay in the north.

You'll be establishing a strong presence for Airborne Solutions across the region, and the trust you build or perhaps already have within the rural community will be the platform from which you will generate consistent drone sales and long-term relationships. With full training provided on drone operations, you'll also be out spraying regularly enabling you to develop genuine operational expertise with the equipment and be key to helping shape how the business operates in the South Island.

This is not a typical sales role — it's an opportunity to build and shape a region, working closely with a fast-moving business in an emerging sector of agriculture. You'll initially work from home (a South Island base is in the pipeline) with regular weekly travel and overnight stays, so flexibility is needed to meet business demands of the role.

What You'll Bring This role sits within a rapidly evolving business, so adaptability is critical. Prior experience or knowledge of drones isn't essential as Airborne Solutions will teach you everything you need to know.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable working in an environment where direction can change quickly
• Is willing to test ideas, pivot, and move forward without getting stuck on "lost time"
• Enjoys building something new rather than following a rigid structure
• Has a strong rural or agricultural background and the ability to communicate effectively with farmers and rural businesses
• Understands farming systems, agrichemicals, and/or rural operations
• Is self-motivated and comfortable working independently

This role will develop organically based on the strengths of the successful candidate.
