Territory Hire Manager - Canterbury

Servicing the New Zealand construction, civil and mining sectors amongst others, the Porter Group has a strong presence and reputation as the leader in heavy hire. This privately owned, long established and well-resourced company has a substantial rental equipment fleet and large branch network throughout New Zealand.

As a Territory Hire Manager, you will drive revenue by selling hire solutions to our customers in the Canterbury region, including tier one contractors. Based in our Christchurch branch, this role will report to the South Island Hire Manager and will work closely with the branch Hire Controller to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, experienced sales professional/leader with experience in equipment rental or civil construction-related sectors. A rewarding remuneration package along with all necessary tools for the role including company vehicle, phone and laptop will be provided to the successful candidate.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving revenue and growing our market share
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Developing an efficient call cycle and maintaining weekly call reports
• Working with the Hire branch and other Porter Group divisions to ensure we deliver excellent service to our customers
• Working with the branch team to ensure accuracy of invoicing and facilitating a quick resolution to queries and discrepancies
