Sales Representative – Rural North Island Based in Pokeno PPP Industries is a family-operated business with a strong national reputation built over 60 years, delivering quality, innovative products to the agricultural sector. We are a leading provider of equipment and after-sales support across New Zealand, working within the dairy, sheep, and poultry industries. About the Role We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team, based out of our Pokeno office. This role covers the North Island territory with the majority of our customers based in the Waikato. This involves working closely with farmers and well-established agents to deliver tailored equipment solutions. This is a varied, hands-on position suited to a detail-oriented individual who enjoys building relationships and achieving results. Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales process, including prospecting, new business development, and maintaining existing customer relationships
- Promote and sell our range of agricultural equipment across the dairy, sheep, and poultry sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agents, and key stakeholders
- Provide expert advice and match products to customer needs
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in New Zealand farming systems
- Proven sales experience, preferably within the agricultural sector
- A qualification in Agri Commerce (preferred but not essential)
- An understanding of basic engineering principles
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Solid computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
