We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Sales Representative to join our team covering the greater Auckland region.
In this role, you'll drive revenue growth by converting inbound enquiries and building strong relationships with joinery and cabinetmaking firms, builders and designers. You'll manage the early sales cycle from qualification and quoting through to handover for production, ensuring clear communication and a smooth customer experience.
You'll also identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities, including collaboration with our sister company, Maximum Tiling, to maximise project value. This role suits someone who enjoys owning the front end of the sales process and delivering strong commercial results in a customer-focused environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound enquiries via phone, email and website; qualify project needs, timing and budget.
- Prepare and follow up quotes using CounterGo/Moraware to secure sales.
- Identify and refer cross-sell opportunities with Maximum Tiling (e.g. splashbacks, feature walls).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cabinetmakers, builders and designers.
- Conduct regular partner check-ins and present product capabilities and solutions.
- Manage trade accounts, opportunities and pricing requests from drawings.
- Coordinate samples, showroom visits and site meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate pipelines, quotes, follow-ups and win/loss records in CRM/Google Sheets.
- Liaise with project management, fabrication, installation and tiling teams to align schedules and scope.
- Capture customer FAQs and feedback to improve sales collateral and handover processes.
About You:
- 2+ years in B2B sales or account management (trade/building products, interiors, joinery, or related).
- Confident with basic measurements/drawings to qualify and price (training provided).
- Strong written and verbal communication; calm, professional phone manner.
- Organised, follow-through mindset; comfortable working autonomously within a part-time schedule.
- Willingness to learn and accurately represent Maximum Tiling offerings for upsell/cross-sell.
- NZ work rights; Full NZ driver licence.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in benchtops/stone/joinery/tiling/building supply.
- Familiar with CounterGo/Moraware or comparable quoting tools.
- Existing network in Auckland cabinetry/joinery circles.
Hours are flexible across Monday-Friday within office hours (9:00-16:00); with occasional after-hours call-backs by arrangement.
