ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Nutrient Specialist – Service Centre, you’ll be a trusted advisor to your own portfolio of farmers, providing practical nutrient advice and managing end‑to‑end sales through phone, email, digital channels and in‑store appointments.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Delivering high‑quality nutrient plans aligned with individual farm systems and goals
- Managing a large customer portfolio through proactive contact planning, outbound calls and responsive service
- Owning sales conversations, order processing and pipeline management end‑to‑end
- Using CRM and Ballance tools to track customer engagement, opportunities and follow‑ups
- Collaborating with internal teams and supporting portfolio coverage when needed
This is an office‑based role working from our regional service centres located in either Ashburton or Timaru, with a strong focus on efficiency, customer experience and trusted advice.
ABOUT YOU
You’re customer‑focused, organised and motivated by helping farmers succeed. You’re comfortable building relationships remotely and enjoy balancing technical advice with commercial outcomes.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- An affinity with the agriculture sector
- Experience in customer service, sales or advisory roles
- Confidence using CRM systems, digital tools and order processing platforms
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- A proactive, resilient approach suited to a fast‑paced, phone‑based environment
Practical knowledge of New Zealand farming systems or nutrient management is an advantage but not essential.
