ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Nutrient Specialist, you’ll be the go‑to trusted advisor for farmers in your region, helping them achieve their goals through practical, tailored nutrient solutions and proactive support. In this role, you will:
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with farmers using a customer centric approach.
- Deliver high‑quality nutrient plans aligned to farm systems, goals, and seasonal priorities
- Own and execute a territory sales plan focused on retention, growth, and new customer acquisition
- Translate technical knowledge into clear, practical advice that drives on‑farm results
- Collaborate with internal teams and represent Ballance at field days and community events
You’ll balance your time between farm visits and office‑based planning, staying close to your customers and their priorities.
ABOUT YOU
You’re passionate about agriculture and thrive on building trusted relationships. You enjoy combining technical knowledge with commercial acumen and take pride in delivering great outcomes for customers.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in agriculture, agribusiness, or a related field
- Experience in customer service, sales, or advisory roles (ideally within rural industries)
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
- Confidence using digital tools, CRM systems, and sales processes
- The ability to work autonomously, manage your time effectively, and prioritise a busy territory
