About Role:

OnPoint Consulting NZ Ltd is managing recruitment for a well-established, busy trade services business based in Franklin region. We’re seeking a qualified HVAC / Ventilation Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, strong customer service, and safe work practices.

This is a Monday-Friday, minimum 30-hour per week position with an ASAP start. You’ll work across residential and light commercial sites in the wider South Auckland area.

The Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will:

  • Install and commission heat pump and ventilation systems to manufacturer requirements and best practice
  • Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance Diagnose faults and complete repairs (mechanical/refrigeration/controls as applicable)
  • Provide professional customer service and clear guidance on system operation and care
  • Complete job records, service reports, and required documentation accurately
  • Work safely at all times and actively contribute to a strong health & safety culture

What we’re looking for:

*Relevant HVAC / Refrigeration / Heat Pump qualification(this is not a trainee role)

  • Ideally 3+ years’ post-qualification experience with heat pump and ventilation installs, servicing, and repairs
  • Confident fault-finding and a “do it once, do it right” approach
  • Strong communication and a professional, tidy presentation on-site
  • NZ driver license (restricted or full) and reliability with travel to sites
  • Ability to work independently and a team player

Nice to have:

  • Current Site Safe / Working at Heights / EWP / First Aid
  • Any additional registrations/licences aligned to the scope of work you undertake
