Security Technician
Tradestaff Mt Wellington is looking for skilled Security Technicians to join a busy Mt Wellington-based company delivering installation and maintenance across a range of security systems.
You’ll be out on-site working on CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, helping keep commercial and residential properties secure.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety — from new installs to fault finding — ideal for someone who enjoys technical work and being out in the field.
Location: Mt Wellington, Auckland
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour, paid weekly
What you’ll be doing:
- Installing and maintaining CCTV, alarm, and access control systems
- Troubleshooting faults and carrying out system upgrades
- Working across a range of sites in the Auckland area
- Running cables, setting up systems, and testing equipment
- Ensuring all work meets safety and industry standards
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in security systems, electrical, or technical installations
- Confidence working with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems
- Minimum restricted driver licence with reliable transport
- Comfortable working on-site and using tools/equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team
- Site Safe, EWP, or Working at Heights (advantageous)
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
