Residential Carpenter – Christchurch We’re looking for a qualified, reliable carpenter to join a respected team delivering high-quality residential work across central Christchurch. With a strong pipeline of new builds and refurbishment projects, you’ll enjoy variety, stability, and the chance to take real pride in your craft. If you’re confident on the tools and committed to quality, this role is an excellent fit.
Location: Central Christchurch Start date: Immediate Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour (paid weekly)
What you’ll be doing:
- Residential carpentry across multiple central Christchurch sites
- Full build scope from foundations to finishing work
- Installing frames, trusses, cladding, windows, doors, and interior finishes
- Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
- Renovation work including structural upgrades and cosmetic improvements
- Working independently and as part of a crew to meet project deadlines
- Maintaining tidy work areas and upholding strong site safety standards
What you’ll need:
- NZ Level 4 Carpentry Qualification (or equivalent)
- Your own hand tools and reliable transport
- Confidence across all stages of residential construction
- Strong work ethic, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Availability to start immediately
