Nail Technician / Lash Technician

About the Role

We are a well-established, high-quality beauty salon based in Canterbury, known for our professional standards and loyal client base. We are seeking an experienced Nail Technician / Lash Technician who is passionate about their craft, takes pride in delivering exceptional results, and values a refined, client-focused salon environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy, well-run salon and is committed to maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, and presentation.

Availability of Working Hours

Monday to Sunday: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Pay & Experience

Pay rate: $28–$33 per hour, depending on experience and technical skill

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ professional nail and/or lash experience required

To be successful in this role, you will:

Hold a New Zealand Certificate in Beauty Therapy (Level 4), a Bachelor qualification, or have at least 2 years of professional nail and/or eyelash experience

Be a NZ citizen, resident, or hold a valid work visa

Key Responsibilities

Be available to work weekends and public holidays as part of a rotating roster

Maintain an immaculate personal presentation and professional salon uniform

Deliver a consistently high level of customer service and client care

Communicate confidently and courteously with clients and team members

Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workspace at all times

Use nail and lash products, chemicals, and adhesives correctly and safely in line with best practice

Clean, maintain, and sanitise tools and equipment after every service

Provide high-quality nail services including manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel nails within allocated service times

Provide eyelash extension services such as Classic, Hybrid, Volume, and styling to suit client eye shape and preferences (if qualified)

Perform nail art, nail repairs, and lash aftercare guidance to a high standard when required

Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene procedures

Build long-term client relationships to encourage retention and re-booking

Proactively contribute to a positive, professional salon culture

Undertake any other reasonable duties required to support salon operations
