Description

Our client is looking for experienced Fitter/Turners to join their team ASAP. Please note that this role is ongoing work and only 1 day a week (Saturday).

Role Overview

  • Takanini, Auckland
  • Saturday only (1-day work per week)
  • $35 per hour
  • 5am to 5pm - some days you could finish early if job is completed for the day
  • Start ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on feedmill machinery and plant equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
  • Fabricate, modify and install components as required
  • Perform fitting, turning, welding and machining tasks
  • Ensure all work is completed to safety, quality, and food grade standards
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified Fitter/Turner (level 4 cert)
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or processing environment
  • Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Safety focused with a high attention to detail
  • Bearing & Turner fitting and repairs experience essential!
