Our client is looking for experienced Fitter/Turners to join their team ASAP. Please note that this role is ongoing work and only 1 day a week (Saturday).
Role Overview
- Takanini, Auckland
- Saturday only (1-day work per week)
- $35 per hour
- 5am to 5pm - some days you could finish early if job is completed for the day
- Start ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on feedmill machinery and plant equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Fabricate, modify and install components as required
- Perform fitting, turning, welding and machining tasks
- Ensure all work is completed to safety, quality, and food grade standards
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements:
- Trade qualified Fitter/Turner (level 4 cert)
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or processing environment
- Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Safety focused with a high attention to detail
- Bearing & Turner fitting and repairs experience essential!
