Fabricator

We are looking to recruit a highly experienced heavy steel fabricators for our client's structural steel fabrication workshop. You will be undertaking medium to heavy fabrication work, such as large warehouses and other commercial buildings. You will be a skilled fabricator and ideally a MIG and FLUX Core welder. Ideally you will have 3 plus years of experience in heavy fabrication such as working with large I beams. You will be able to accurately read engineering drawings You will be able to mark-up work accurately You will be able to use gas cutting, grinders and other tools to prepare your work You will be able to work in an organised and efficient manner You will be able to take guidance from your foreman and managers You will be able to assess the quality of your work and ensure it is delivered to standard and on time. You will be a good communicator with your own team and management.

This is a permanent role, with a minimum of 30 hours of work per week, in a successful well-established engineering company. The role has penal rates.

There are 5 positions available.

The hourly rate is between $32 and $38 per hour depending on experience.

The role is Auckland based. On occasion you will be required to work in the company's branch factory based in Hamilton.
