EQUIP Recruitment is seeking experienced Marine Fabricators/Welders to join a skilled and growing manufacturing team in Christchurch.

These are long-term, full-time roles suited to trade-qualified professionals who take pride in precision metalwork and want to be part of a high-performing, supportive crew.

About the Role: You'll be fabricating and welding high-quality stainless steel and aluminium components used in marine and structural projects. The work is varied - from hull fabrication and custom fittings to fine-detail finishing - all within modern, well-equipped workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld stainless steel and aluminium components to specification
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to a high standard
  • Work collaboratively to meet quality and production targets
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace

What We're Looking For:

  • Trade qualification in fabrication or welding (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience with stainless steel and aluminium fabrication
  • Marine fabrication background is highly desirable
  • NZ welding tickets for stainless and aluminium (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
