About our work: You’ll undertake fabricating tasks for heavy engineering shipbuilding industry, including:

  • Stainless steel and aluminium fabrication
  • Abilities with multiple welding disciplines (stick, arc, tig)
  • General workshop engineering and equipment maintenance
  • Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Accurate completion of paperwork and documentation

About you: We need you to have:

  • Tradesperson with a good level of experience across a range of medium to heavy fabrication tasks
  • A valid NZ driver's license and clean driving record
  • Good self-motivation and have a high standard of workmanship.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Organised and able to deal with conflicting priorities and work under pressure
  • Capable of working well in a team environment, with a good attitude to and respect for other staff members
  • Champion of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Physical stamina and agility to work in a marine environment.
  • Able to travel for clients when needed
